"Beautiful quiet spot! A walk or cycle from the Center of Frangkocastello (and where the beach is wonderful and child friendly too). The taverna on the sea front just infront of the property has excellent traditional Greek food and there are many more to try in the center too. Very peaceful location, with a few similar looking apartment hotels scattered along this coastline. The hosts are wonderful. A pool was just finishing being built right behind the current apartments property and looked like more rooms being added. We stayed in a two bed apartment. Slightly small apartment if you’re used to full holiday homes or villas but normal for a apartment hotel with all you need, and we had 3 balconies, one in each direction! Really beautiful views of both mountains and sea!"

"I stayed at the Sunrise for a week and have no idea how it was given 3.7 stars. The price of the stay was WONDERFUL for my budget! The location was PERFECT, be it right next to the sea. Manolia the customer service representative was above & beyond helpful. The best part of my stay was the 8€ breakfast! They did a WONDERFUL job with it and helped me stay below budget for my food costs. The room was clean & smelling good. There only one negative thing... and it comes from the customer expecring a Ritz Carlton experience in the farming portion of Crete. Well Worth It. Pay the 8€ for the breakfast and it'll save you 30€ from eating out."

"Hmm. This is a very good property and would be excellent anywhere else in the world but standards in Greece/Crete are very high. It's a little gloomier inside photos suggest with only limited natural light. There is construction work going on literally adjacent to the property currently so expect some noise and essentially the outdoor balcony space is off-limits during the daytime. Some minor maintenance niggles. Seems a bit mean providing a coffee machine but no capsules but hey ho. This is a well-maintained, relatively new property but I would be inclined to try somewhere else if we were to return."
