"I booked my stay through Expedia (Hotels.com) and I paid at the property. No one was at the desk when I checked out so I dropped my key in the box. IHG hotels have always emailed my receipt - my email address is on file. They didn't send one - no big deal - but when I called the clerk told me that because I booked through a third party I would have to get my receipt from them. I explained that I paid the hotel and that they are to give me a receipt. I also explained that when I checked out there was no one at the desk so I dropped my key as the sign instructed. She told me on a Friday at 4:40 p.m. that I'd have to call back on Monday when a manager was on duty. If they don't have someone at the desk in the morning they should email the receipts.. "
