We just stayed at the Omni La Mansión del Rio and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, everyone was amazingly courteous and helpful — and I mean everyone, right down to the valets who made coming and going effortless.
Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and we had a balcony overlooking the River Walk surrounded by gorgeous old architecture — sitting out there listening to the river and the music below was something I’ll never forget. The building itself is just stunning; you can feel the history in it and even the pool area is lovely. It’s the kind of place where the setting does half the work and the people do the rest.
We had dinner at Ostra our first night and it was consistently beautiful — fresh, full of ambiance, and again, just the nicest people taking care of us. Every detail, inside and out, felt cared for.
If you’re looking at hotels on the River Walk, this is the one. You’re right on the water, wrapped in beautiful old San Antonio, and treated like a guest who matters. We’ll be back. Highly, highly recommend."
