"Property is located on the edge of downtown so it’s a very convenient walking distance. The map makes it look farther than it really is. If you want a good location this is it. Price was decent being summer in Alaska. Room wasn’t fancy but it was clean. They don’t have a TV in the room, or at least our room didn’t have one. I don’t know if that’s standard and I overlooked it but if that’s important to you then check that your room has one. For us that was a surprise but not a deal breaker. We arrived late since we had to drive up from Whittier. We picked up our keys in the bar. About the bar, it was packed that night. It seemed there was a party. Seemed mostly filled with locals and they were friendly. If we weren’t tired we would have hung out there too. Parking was a little tight due to the party but we found parking. Ground was muddy due to all the rain but that’s also not on the hotel. Just something to be aware of. Here’s the nice thing. Even though there was a huge party in the bar we couldn’t hear it at our room or near the room. The noise or people don’t come by the rooms so don’t have to worry about that. Other than that hotel was basic. No complaints and I’d stay there again."
"Properties were clean and well kept. the whole place was nice and convenient to town too. thank you for a nice stay at the Wind Cabins. totally enjoyed our time there!"
"Absolutely incredible property. Picturesque views of Denali. Great food in the Base Camp Bistro. Several sitting areas facing the mountain as well as quite placing for reading and relaxing. Many have fireplaces. The grounds are fabulous kiss and well manicured. A magnificent property that truly makes you feel welcomed!"
"What a fun place to stay in a Pioneer Town! I’m not sure if I missed it, but heads up that a live band typically plays at night. So if you need something more quiet that may not work for you. However we had a blast with some surprise 90s live music!"
