"We have just had a very enjoyable 5 night stay at La Fregate. Bedroom spacious with such a beautiful view over the harbour from our balcony. The room was very clean on arrival and kept so with the daily cleaning service. Tea and coffee available in the room but no milk, instead the hotel asked you to ring them for fresh milk each day. It would have been good yo have a fridge in the room. On arrival had delicious crab sandwiches in the bar. Breakfast was included in the price which was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. One waitress was a little forgetful but overall service was good."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. The hotel is attractively set in large grounds. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and had a small balcony. Every single member of staff we met was welcoming. They went out of their way to engage with us and help -this included the reception, bar & dining and housekeeping staff. The breakfast area was calm and well managed with a good range of options. We chose to take our evening meals in the Terrace Bar. There was a large range of options to choose from and the staff were very helpful - especially Amy who served us very professionally most nights."

"Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel is brillantly located in a quiet street just off the high street in St Peter Port. so it close to all the ammenities you need such as ferry port, shops and restaurants. The only issue, we had was that the first room they put us in was on the ground floor room. The bathroom of this room is adjacent to the street, therefore my wife did not feel safe using the bathroom. We talked to the staff and in fairness they moved us to a room on the top floor which was more than suitable for the rest of the stay. The staff very kind and courteous and could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was of a very good quality. I would stay here again but would have to stipulate they I would not like to stay in the ground floor room."

"Good size, well equipped room. Nice local toiletries. Really friendly and helpful staff. They obviously get on well with each other, so always seemed to be in a good mood, which created a warm atmosphere. Excellent food. Only a couple of suggestions to make it even better: some water in the room would be nice; as a lone women traveller a security lock for the door would be reassuring. I'd be very happy to stay againn though."

"This was our 2nd the stay. The best thing is the magnificent view over Braye beach. The hotel was lovely but a little tired in places. The bedrooms and bathrooms needed decorating. A little attention to detail was needed. The staff did their best but sometimes lacked direction. We did enjoy our stay and the food was generally very good."
