Single lane, unsealed with sheer drops and BREATHTAKING views. McKillops Road from Little River Falls to McKillops Bridge is among the most amazing sections of road in Australia. Taking in the amazing Snowy River and the Snowy River & Alpine National Parks. Plenty of 4WD tracks leading off the main route, but McKillops Road is fine for 2WD. No vans or trailers past Little River Falls #NationalPark

The Wallaces Hut

The three Wallace brothers Arthur, William and Stewart built the Wallaces Hut in 1889. It's the oldest standing mountain hut in the Bogong High Plains Alpine National Park and located on the road from Falls Creek to Omeo in the Australian Alps.

This is an exceptionally scenic track through the Victorian High Country. Some parts of the track are extremely steep and you need a high clearance 4WD.

Fantastic, free camping... pretty little spot by the river. This is up in the high country of Victoria. Near Craig's Hut where the movie 'Man from Snowy River ' was filmed. Camping area is called Bindaree Flats, an old cattlemen's hut is opposite us...2 wheel drive access to this point on a rough road though...but ok to drive on. Grab a map and go!

If you make it to Mount Buller this season make sure you hike up to the Summit. I'm only an intermediate skier so I left my skies down the bottom and walked the final 100m from the Summit chair lift. You can ski blue and green runs all the way down from there. It's a lovely view, especially at sunset. :)
