"The accommodation was nice and clean. We were able to check in a bit early which was nice. The AC unit in the bedroom is a bit loud and ticks when it kicks on, but it was nice and cool in the hot weather. Ample supplies in the kitchen for coffee, and bathroom toiletries for the night. Alpine was beautiful but hard to eat there. Cash only in alot of places and alot doesnt open till 5. go to v6 coffee bar in marathon tx its close to alpine and they have great coffee and a great selection of healthy foods. Great location.

Alpine seemed pretty grim. Finding someplace affordable to eat on Sunday evening was difficult.

It is small historical town we visited during our trip to Big Bend National park. It is beautiful at night during clear sky. You will get to see milky-way bend. Over night stay in Holiday Inn Express in Alpine, TX was terrible.
