"We had a fantastic stay at the Etage! The location is absolutely perfect if you're in town to catch a game at PNC Park, and there are tons of great lunch and dinner spots within easy walking distance.
The room itself was incredible... huge, very modern, and exceptionally clean. Having a full-sized kitchen, a massive bathroom, a remarkably comfortable bed, and an in-room washer and dryer made it feel more like a luxury apartment than a standard hotel room. The building amenities are also top-notch; the common room is massive, and the rooftop basketball court is a really unique, awesome touch.
The only quirky drawback was the window shades. Our room had four beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows, but two of the shades were stuck open and two were stuck closed with no way for us to adjust them. When we asked the front desk, they explained that altering the light would require staff to come up and manually apply a window tint—a 45-minute process—which seemed pretty bizarre to us. Also strange that this was not mentioned during checkout.
That being said, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful otherwise. Definitely recommend if it fits your price range!"
