The hotel is in a great location, just steps from the temple. Breakfast is very good, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The room doesn’t have a window, though it is ventilated, and the shower water was a bit lukewarm. Overall, it’s a nice place with good value.
The positive was the most comfortable bed we have had throughout our stay in India.
It is very close to the Golden temple.the staff were helpful when organising transport.
The negatives- not clean, everywhere you look the hotel was in need of a good clean. The rooms and bathrooms were tatty looking and looked unfinished . Blinds in the window did not work.

Great Lication, steps from the Golden Temple 🙏
A very nice hotel based on the location ( steps from Golden Temple)
The service levels were nice too. The travel desk is very helpful. We booked a trip to wagah and Karan who runs the travel desk was quite helpful. The car sent was clean and the driver Ajay was a pleasant guy. Our airport transfer too was booked via the travel desk and was timely.
The rooms are basic, with a good AC ? Which was needed as it was quite hot when we visited in late July)
I wouldn’t mind staying here again if the primary objective is to visit the temple, given the location.
If you’re seeking luxury, this isn’t a place for you. The rooms are pretty basic but nice in my opinion.
Overall Inhad a pleasant stay.
I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel due to poor communication and service. Staff coordination was lacking—I had to repeat the same request to 2-3 people before anything was done. For example, I informed reception in both English and Punjabi that my family would leave at 7 am for the Golden Temple and requested housekeeping during our absence. Despite this, the rooms were untouched upon our return. I was told housekeeping only happens after 2 pm, even though I had informed them beforehand.
On the next day, I spoke directly with the housekeeping team and was informed that housekeeping starts from 8am onwards. Very confusing that different staff gave different information.
Room service was similarly disappointing. We ordered 2 coffees and 3 bottles of water at 11:30 am, but after waiting for an hour, my husband had to follow up at reception. The order was only expedited because a senior staff member intervened.
Additionally, I asked to speak to the General Manager on my second day, but despite seeing him multiple times, he never approached me. This lack of accountability from management was frustrating, especially given the price.
On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent—walking distance to the Golden Temple and shopping areas. It’s quiet, with a lovely terrace offering views of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
However, at $640 for four nights, I expected much better service. I regret not booking the Taj, where the experience would have likely matched the price.
It is cheap place to stay, if you want to save money stay this place it’s OK, the only good thing about this hotel is location, only five minutes walking distance to the golden temple.
This was a lovely place to stay, excellent location for being in and around all to do in Amritsar. Surprisingly quiet given the bustling location. Staff were very helpful, with them having a travel desk for arraning a trip to the border/
This stay was completely unacceptable and a major decline from our visit two years ago. We booked two Executive King rooms, both of which failed basic hygiene and comfort standards. The bathrooms smelled like public restrooms, and we found a used, wet towel folded in the bathroom. The TV was blaring on entry, which was alarming and showed poor room checks.
There was no phone or contact information in the room to reach reception, forcing us to go downstairs ourselves. Staff showed no apology, urgency, or effort to fix the issues. The centrally controlled heating made the room unbearably hot, the fans were dirty, and the night was extremely uncomfortable—especially when planning to wake early for Amrit Vela.
Breakfast timings on the website did not match what was followed at the hotel, and we were questioned for not calling from the room despite no contact option being provided. Overall, this reflects serious lapses in hygiene, maintenance, communication, and guest care. Not recommended.
We had an awful stay at the hotel. The check in staff was rude and abrupt. The rooms on arrival were not clean it was clear that the sheets had not been changed and there was hair in the bed. The bathrooms were unclean and no hot water was running. One of the rooms there was no water at all from the toilet and another room no water at all from the tap. One room the tap was turned on and dirty black water came out. The manager then intervened who had a lovely manner and helped us to get 4 new rooms. The hot water still didn’t work until the second day. We had to boil a kettle to get hot water and order hot water from downstairs. There were cockroaches in the rooms which were running around all of the tea and coffee equipment and near our food which we then had to cancel and send back leading to us sleeping hungry. I felt uncomfortable and the stay was ruined by all of these issues. This hotel needs serious cleaning, the staff need proper training and it needs serious maintenance to be done. Will never stay here or at any GG hotels again.
This property is new and modern design with perfect use of space and very comfortable beds. The staff are so nice, even provided a staff to accompany our family to the golden temple and helped navigate the amazing visit and langar. It is really just 80 steps from the Golden Temple and walking distance to Jallianwalah Bagh. Their restaurant food was better than Kesar Da Dhaba. Would highly recommend this place!!
Clean and close to Darbar Sahib. Narrow streets so getting taxi to the door is hard. Check with the hotel to find a good drop off spot. Bug a few meters walk and no big deal.
Pillows were full of stains even the covers had yellow marks and when i tried to tell front desk guy he said we don’t have any other available tonight.
