I was very hesitant to stay in a 3 star hotel, but this is one of the BEST hotels I’ve been to, and it’s because of their staff, they go above and beyond to make sure you have all that you need and are super accommodating. Hotel is simplistic but everything works, breakfast is good, super centric to everything and literally 10 minutes walk from the train station.

The Highlander is in a great position it is near to the city centre, trams and central station. The canals are close but the good nightlife is a little more of a walk in either direction. We were on the Blue level on the third floor which suited our needs and there is a lift if required. The beds are soft although comfortable but the pillows are poor quality! The breakfast was adequate but the coffee was awful unfortunately. On the whole this is a good Hotel trying its best and I would recommend maybe only for 1 or 2 nights.

The Highlander Hotel was located next to a variety of different shopping experiences, excellent dining options and was extremely easy to walk to many different parts of the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and was immediately welcoming after a long travel day. We will definitely stay here again!!

Room was much smaller than anticipated and could not be described as a deluxe. No separate bathroom - it was part of bedroom which was not in room description Clothes hanging and hangers limited Coffee machine in room, useless as no coffee pods provided Lead on hairdryer had been shortened making it difficult to use TV purported to have lots of multi language channels, only a few obtainable in Dutch. Cool decor, modern and in good condition. Note they have very soft beds and huge hard pillows which are not for me. Woken up by drilling (rooms are not sound proofed), but I think this was probably from building next door to not hotel's fault!

All good thing around here, lots of reasonably priced food options breakfast is plentiful and fresh staffing attentive and always willing to help. Rooms are very small but all well equipped... Besides you don't go to Amsterdam to be in just a hotel room... So much to see and do no time to be in a hotel anyway. Leave for a boring city, this isa lot of fun here.

Room was great but staff was not prepared for my arrival and then only made my keys work for one night instead of two. Minor inconvenience otherwise hotel was great and staff helped with the issue
