"Our family of 5 arrived at the villa at 630pm tired and hoping for a good night rest. Pressed the bell and knocked on the door before someone came down from the villa. Realised they werent aware there is a booking for the night's stay! We had to wait for a good one hour before that poor caretaker sort out the stay wt the owner for our booking and then cleaned the rooms. No service recovery and no apologies by the owner at all. Utterly disappointed! "

"Beautiful tranquil villa on a picturesque mountainside. Very clean, open villa with amazing Infinity pool, rainforest showers and dining area. Fantastic view of mountains, tea plantation and rapids. Shuttle service up mountain to villa. Very friendly staff with delicious dining service. Would absolutely recommend this stay. "

"We loved our stay at Kandy Shady Trees thanks to the very welcoming and accommodating nature of our hosts. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable and breakfast was fresh and substantial. The location is up a steep hill (we took a tuk tuk up and down it) but could be walked. Views from the property were great and it was in close proximity to central Kandy and many worth visiting sites. Our host also accommodated us by driving us to local sites for a very reasonable fee. "Staff are absolutely spot on, on the ball, very friendly. The hotel is very clean, rooms have amazing views over the valley. The rooms here were some of my nices on my trip to Sri Lanka. Naughty Monkeys pay a visit occasionally too! Its little put of town but going downhill, ypu can be in the centre of Kandy by walking in 10 mins. Coming back.... get a Tuk tuk! "
