"Bouceel Castle was a splurge stay for my wife and I but we only planned on staying 1 night in this area and it was well worth it. We were so impressed with our room, our view, the grounds, the decor... it was a shame we only booked one night. The highlight of course was learning about the history of the home and it's original owner. Very interesting and very sweet that he took the time to share it with us. What more can I say? We arrived late but, in the morning, we had a lovely surprise - looking out of our window we saw a very beautiful tranquil setting - the lovely River Selune flowing by the hotel and wildflowers, long grasses, and ancient buildings. The hotel room was clean and spacious, breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were very accommodating. We would highly recommend the hotel."

"They upgraded my room to one with a private bathroom free of charge due to most of the hotel being occupied by male construction workers. It was greatly appreciated. Only downside is the location, as there is nothing around except a few grocery stores that close early and the closest bus is a 20min walk away. "Horrendous experience! Host should be struck off your listings. The first thing he said to us was ‘hotel finished’, meaning we weren’t welcome. We assumed it was because we didn’t check in within the hour timeframe given, even though we rung the host to explain beforehand. Quaint little chateau in a little town

"We loved our stay here! It was so quaint and lovely. The staff are wonderful and spoke fluent English. There are two units which house guests- we loved the view of the charming garden from our room. Although we got in too late to book time at the hot tub, we did get to enjoy a lovely afternoon in the conservatory. We also ordered coffee for room service and it was delightful!"

Great location and value

"Perfect location for visiting Mont St Michel with the shuttle bus stopping right in front of hotel. Alternately you can enjoy the walk, approx 30 min with lovely views. Family of four, stayed in a quadruple room which was very spacious and clean. Great water pressure in shower. Surroundings are peaceful and quiet, just sounds of birds so we slept wonderfully. The breakfast is an excellent value and I’d highly recommend it. I’d stay here again if we come back for another visit "

A nice stay at a dated hotel.

"Overall a good stay at the Relais. We chose this hotel because we wanted to view Mont Saint Michel from our room. The view did not disappoint. The hotel does seem dated but we were told they were in the middle of renovations. We also arrived an hour early and they did not allow us to check in early. The hotel is located right next to a shuttle to Mont Saint Michel which was convenient. "
