Aptos, California hotel rooms at the Benchmark

"Our room was clean and wonderful. Kitchenette had small fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and dishwasher it was stocked with paper towels. No coffee was provided so bring your own. The property is beautiful with beach access, pools playgrounds, walking paths and views. They have a restaurant serving delicious Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner onsite. Also a full bar with a Great Happy Hour!"

"Parking was safe and easy except for the 4 bone jarring speed bumps. Tv was 24”!!! Hard to hear and see! Neighbors were so noisy! Blackout curtains worked except the blinding halo around the outside of the curtains. I had to fix the TV remote. The lead was not touching the battery. Numbers and letters worn off of remote. Bathroom fan was noisy. Lights were all excessively bright and were the white LED. Not the warm white they should be. When I looked at map for hotel location near the aquarium, it said 20 minutes. That 20 minutes turned into 45 minutes during bumper to bumper stop and go traffic on the “freeway”. "

"Funky layout. Tight spaces. PAPER THIN windows and walls to the balcony. Might as well have slept ON actual Beach Street. We paid for two horrible nights of sleep and we’ve stayed at neighboring properties with zero of these issues. Will not return. "
