As a prison experience this is a fantastic choice.. The manager is a former inmate and the history itselv is worth it All... Before we arrived, we joked about that the Breakfast would be bread and water.. It was almost like that... Not continental 😊 As a hotel experience it is not the choice...

Gøy for store og små

Kjempegøy at det helt tydelig har vært et fengsel. Vi ble tatt imot i resepsjonen på en veldig hyggelig måte av en ansatt som også var tidligere innsatt. Veldig varm velkomst. Barnet fikk håndjern. Vi fikk hjelp å bære bagasjen til rommet uten at vi ba om det. Rommet og resten av lokalet var veldig rent og fint. Vær klar over at do/dusj er separat og deles med andre. De serverer ikke frokost, så det må ordnes selv. Anbefales! Vi kommer tilbake hit.

En fantastisk og uventet opplevelse❣️ OK, så skjønte jeg utifra navnet at det hadde noe med et fengsel å gjøre. Men jeg valgte det først og fremst fordi det lå innen grei gangavstand fra by'n. OG at det lå i retning Harabakken dit jeg jo, som miljø- og klimarabiat ville ankomme med buss. Det samme er forøvrig tilfelle om du kommer med jønnban'. [P-plasser finnes forøvrig også...] Du blir allerede i inngangen møtt av kunstige, staute betjenter ikledd Fengselsvesenets ekte uniformer i 1939-utgaven. Samt veldig hyggelig personale. Frokosten hadde jeg naturligvis ingen store forventninger til utover vann og brød, men den inneholdt alt du trengte til en fin start på dagen - inkl. ferskkokte egg❣️ Ingen chef à lá Monte Carlo - men hva f... kan du forlange når du skal inn å gjøra opp for deg? Masse muligheter for oppdagelsesferder og true crime, som jeg ikke hadde tid til å benytte meg av. Siden Arendal jo kan by på både fjonge fioler og kolde pilsnere. Dog én klage ved utsjekk: Det er en SKAM at norske fengsler skal by på SÅ gode senger! En fantastisk og veldig autentisk opplevelse❣️ Og en opplevelse jeg ikke ville ha vært foruten, selv om jeg for 20 år siden ble frikjent 5-0 av Norges Høyesterett❣️🇧🇻
Trygt og godt så du ikke kunne kaste deg ut mellom etasjene❣️
Gjennom denne luka kom jeg meg ut og fikk meg nogle pilsener nede i Pollen❣️
Ingen ubudne gjester kunne trenge seg inn på celle 27❣️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fengselshotellet – langt fra soning, te

Reiste spontant til Sørlandet for å få med meg Hove Rock Festival lørdag 14., og trengte et sted å bo i siste liten. Logget meg inn på Hotels.com og fikk napp – ett ledig rom igjen. Jackpot! Ringte i forkant for å høre om tidlig innsjekk – null stress. Sen utsjekk dagen etter? Også helt uproblematisk. Servicen satt som et skudd fra hyggelig og travel betjening, som virkelig gjør en innsats i det som fortsatt føles som et levende, gammelt fengsel – bare med fri tilgang til frokostbuffeten 😇 Frokosten hadde alt jeg trengte. Og opplevelsen denne gangen? Mye, mye bedre enn sist. Kanskje var det stemningen, kanskje festivalen – men mest av alt: tryggheten og atmosfæren her. Kommer gjerne tilbake – frivillig! 🙌

Sjovt, Identisk men ikke for mange dage.

Ideen med at indrette et hotel i en nedlagt fængsel er fin. Stedet er også identisk. Desværre er der meget lyt og dermed kan man høre de rum som ligger i nærheden. Rengøringen af baderum kunne også være bedre.
