"The room was very clean, however, the hotel was under construction. All three floors had construction going on, even in the hallways. Carpet was being laid, and I found numerous wood screws lying on the hallway, and one screw in the room. If I had stepped on one, it would have gone through the sole of my sneaker. One overhead light fixture in our room was missing the cover and the light bulbs. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom looked new but was coming loose from the wall. There were two windows in the room; both looked out onto stacks of scrap construction pieces and discarded broken furniture.
The setup of the room was odd. There were two rooms, and one TV that swiveled so could only be viewed by 1 room at a time. The microwave and mini-fridge were located in a cabinet. The microwave was on a low shelf in the cabinet, requiring one to bend way over and use a flashlight in order to operate it. The shower appeared newly renovated and had glass doors, one of which slid open and closed. This design meant that a person needed to be in the shower, standing under the shower head before one could turn the water on. Hence, cold water poured on one’s head as the faucet was turned on and dialed to the right temperature.
If the construction hadn’t been going on, the oddities of the room set-up would have been a minor distraction. A warning that the hotel was under construction would have been nice."
"We love the fact that each room is a different theme. The last time we stayed there we were in the Maryln Manroe room and this time it was an outdoor Deer theme! The rooms are clean, spacious and each has a deck to sit on. We enjoyed the deck in the evening. It was way too warm for the fireplace but had it have been colder the fireplace is nice. You are strategically located within walking distance of most downtown locations.
We absolutely love this hotel"
