The property was cheap, but it's definitely not 4 stars. Every room was dirty, we have visible spots of dirt on the bedsheets, the carpet had stains, pillows had stains. It's as if the room had never been cleaned before it was given to us. We had bed bugs in our room and constantly had problems with dirt throughout. The breakfast options were very limited if you are vegetarian.

The Palace Hotel requires updating especially the rooms. Faded Grandeur. The lift is hit and miss. The restuarant has 2 menus however the staff only give al a carte ...although they do have a snack menu. Customer service needs to be looked into. When I questioned i did notice staff had taken off I.D badges off so i was difficult to assess. Found the staff to be quite rude and dismissive. Not an enjoyable stay im afraid.

Great location - couldn't ask for more. However, the property could do with more modern amenities. E.g. hotel rooms don't have USB charging points for phones, etc. whereas most other hotels in Arusha have this basic amenity. Bathrooms could also do with upgrades, recaulking, etc.

A very convenient location for the purpose of my visit. The staff was very friendly, readily available for all my needs gave extra perks that was not expected. This hotel will be on the top of my list whenever I visit Arusha again.

The staff were pleasant. They helped out with our baby while we ate breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. The room was nice with a great view. However, they had a new years Eve party on the 9th floor rooftop that was so so loud in our room on the 8th floor. There was an after party until 3am. It just made it hard to sleep with a baby as well. We told the front desk and nothing was done about it.

It looks like an upscale hotwl and the staff certainly maintains that level of quality, but under the surface many things are wrong. I didn't have hot water in my shower,4 of the 5 days I was there, even after changing rooms. Several lights were out in the rooms and the TV didn't work in one of them either. The restaurant was out of several items and the list of unavailable things grew daily.

Per essere un albergo a prezzo molto accessibile in Tanzania non ci si può lamentare... molto pulito, e silenzioso. Mancava il phon nella stanza, ma me lo hanno procurato in sole 4 ore :-) Il ristorante interno è ok con porzioni abbondanti, colazione a buffet. Caffe orribile!

The location is very good, but anything else? The wifi connection was weak while the machine was just outside of the room. The staffs especially at the restaurant are almost not cheerful. In addition, I ordered the coffee there, but why taste cinnamon? You might not wash the dishes carefully? From my experiences, this hotel never worth the price.

Weekend in Arusha

Nice large room, close to the market and local businesses. Walking distance to a park, museum, market and local places to eat. Be careful of local street vendors pretending to be selling their own art, it’s overpriced and definitely not original. Used the tour company in the lobby and they were very helpful.
