The room was very spacious for a family of 5, the facility in general is great.

Such a wonderful stay! The place was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Melissa (host) was welcoming and responsive, and the location was perfect. Highly recommend!

Melissa obviously puts a lot of care into her hosting. She was even ready for us with a very last minute booking. We were a little surprised that the rooms were inside her house, but thatās just because we were in a rush to book and didnāt notice that ahead of time. But, it did not bother us and Melissa was extremely kind and accommodating. The room had so much space, was clean and comfortable; it was perfect for what we needed.

Mel is lovely but spa green not usable.. shower awesome, walls could do with a refresh .. quiet area
Perfect location for exploring Auckland City, North Shore & environs.
Bus 923 from the end of the road goes to Auckland Central 7 days a week.
Ferry from Northcote Point to Auckland wifh free car park at the Ferry Terminal.
Car parks in Auckland City were a good price, to us Brits!
The rooms we had use of within the family home do need some renovation; the furniture is very 'tired' with laminate coming off in the bathroom & living room units. The ceilings still show water-damage mentioned in a previous review (2024?)
All of the 'crockery' was plastic which was a definite negative for us and they weren't microwave-safe. Two microwave-safe dishes were provided for cooking, though.
The view of the city from the jacuzzi is now more obscured by the shrubs ie not the same as in the advert photos.
Host was very friendly & helpful - even doing laundry for us as we were on a 6 night stay.
Absolutely loved our stay, host was super friendly and loved our 2 connecting rooms, had a spa bath in bathroom and our own private deck.
The pool and spa pool were incredible and loved the sea views.
Nice and clean, we will definitely be back.
We were greeted by Melissa in such a friendly way. We really enjoy the grounds here, the view and pool area overlooking the city of Aukland is amazing. It was the perfect last night of vacation.
Glenn was polite and accommodating. Great view, comfortable.

The hosts were nice and friendly. The pool and the view from it were fantastic. The walking area around the crater is lovely. While the room and bathrooms felt a bit dated, and the dishes were all plastic, we enjoyed the nice private terrace area. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. We liked that it is close too Devenport, and Ponsonby rd.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very kind and friendly and welcomed our family warmly. My only mistake was only staying one night. I would like to come back and enjoy the pool.
Melissa was very cheerful, plenty of in room options for breakfast
Very cosy comfortable room, great mattress
Will definitely stay again when I next visit NZ

Booked over 5mths ago only to be contacted less than two weeks until our trip to NZ from Australia and told they had double booked & we were being bumped. Did not show proof that someone else had booked prior (&bookings cannot be double booked using the app) and absolutely no previous messages had been sent to me via app or email but she lied and said they had. Owner had booked us in elsewhere, 40mins away which was nothing at all like what had been booked but no other properties available at such short notice for that price so we had no choice other than to accept it. There was a major concert in town quite close and I think when they realised they could get more dollars they just cancelled our booking. The apology was insincere and now I wish Iād read all the previous reviews on here and google because Iād never have booked with them in the first place. Poor form.
We were greeted on arrival which was pleasant and were shown around the outside of the property first. We were then taken inside and upstairs to our area. On arrival we noticed the place looked a bit tired on the outside, little did we know what was to come!! I have taken photos incase of any dispute. I understand everyone has different cleanliness standards but when you are renting out an area of your house you can at least make sure the basics are in order. The house was full of dust and cat hair. My son slept the night in the trundler bed and was greeted by a handful of cat hair. The walls and surfaces in the house and our area for the night were filthy, all marked and dirty. The bedding and towels were very old and tired. The plug in the smaller room was loose and sparked when my phone charger was plugged in. The spa pool had a greasy yuk film of dirt around the edge. The ceilings in the bathroom and main sleeping area have obviously been subjected to water damage and were all peeling off. There was mould around the skirting boards in the bedroom behind the bunk beds. I could go on. We were just glad none of us are allergic to animals as it would have been an even more unpleasant stay. We had no choice but to stay for the evening as we didn't have anywhere else to go. Needless to say, I would not be recommending this stay to anyone and would be embarrassed if it was my property.
The advertising shows sea views which are not available from the lettable area, but are available from communal spaces. While the property itself is modern in appearance, the room we had was dated and in need of maintenance virtually on all surfaces. The mould on the ceiling in the toilet/bath room is intolerable and given the amount of dust on plants in that room, it clearly hasnāt been thoroughly cleaned for some time. Although plastic plates and glassware is provided, there is no kitchenette so presumably dishes need to be done in the bathroom. The small old Jim Beam beer fridge in the main room had chicken wrapped in tin foil left in it, which again points toward a casual approach to thorough housekeeping. The curtains in the main room are not wide enough for the window and to compensate, a see-through roller blind has been installed to fill the gap. The is little privacy in the shower at night as the external wall is constructed from glass blocks, although a narrow roller blind is installed. Beware that the space is essentially a spare room/area within the home owners house (shared entrance) and to that end, it is not a private accommodation option. We were āupgradedā to a space with a second bedroom and double bed (a rollaway for the second bed was expected) which was nice, and certainly the property is very close to the city CBD. While the price point is favourable, this is very much a case of getting what you pay for unfortunately and we would not stay again.
We love the place, its clean, the area is oerfext for a little get away from home. Our kids loved the pool, the spa pool and yhe bubble bath. Service was excellent. Big area, kids had fun they didnt eveb have time to play in the trampoline. Very quiet neighborhood too. We parked in the property so that was nice too.
