“The hotel left heated towel rails on during the middle of a heatwave. Two visits to reception led to provision of a useless fan. Despite complaints to management no partial or full refund was offered on the basis it was a hot weekend. This is without doubt the worst place I've stayed. Avoid unless you want to melt in the room followed by a good old fashioned dose of Management gaslighting....”

“Breakfast staff deserve a medal coping with the understaffing. The orange juice is just squash. Nice poached egg available if you ask though. Good sausage and mushrooms. too. The waiting staff are lovely unlike the cold, unfriendly receptionists who should work at a GP’s! The grounds were picturesque and the pool okay if a bit too warm in the heatwave. Room 17 is tiny but it was clean. The noise from the boiler outside was unpleasant as was the non-existent view. Hit and miss but good value if...
