It was a little odd, not having an office, but actually worked out better than I thought it was going to. โThis was a last minute stay since we did not plan on going to Outer Banks. The hotel was one of the few on the beach and located right as you enter Buxton. I chose this hotel because of prior reviews & happy that I did. The room was clean and comfortable and included a small kitchenette. There were a few eating places within walking distance & a very nice grocery store (Connerโs) a quick 3 min drive away โ
โStaff and servers were attentive and friendly, and everything was clean. The complimentary breakfast at the gourmet restaurant far exceeds any other hotel comp. breakfast. The setting on the Pamlico Sound is gorgeous with many decks to enjoy the scenery. โ
โIn the 25 plus years I have been staying in OBX this place has had the most comfortable beds EVER! And I have been in motels, hotels, rental houses through companies as well as Vrbo and such. Walkable to the beach and restaurants were nice as well.โ
โOutstanding ocean front hotel! However, there is virtually no beach area even at low tide. Sand bags make it very difficult getting to the beach. โ
