Location is basically right on Times Square,

The location is perfect—close to everything, which made getting around really easy. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, and everything was very well organized even when it was busy. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. I would definitely recommend it.

The staff is AMAZING and makes this hotel where we stay every trip to NYC. The breakfast is also a big selling point, along with easy location for shows. The rooms are terribly small, not in super fantastic condition; but we don’t spend much time in the room anyway.

If you’re looking for a small, simple hotel in the heart of Manhattan within walking distance of Times Square—but without the constant lights and noise—Hotel St. James is a great option. The location is fantastic, making it easy to walk to many theaters, restaurants, and major attractions. The hotel itself is economical and clean, which is exactly what we were looking for during our stay. It’s definitely not a luxury hotel, and the mattresses could use an upgrade. However, if you’re someone who values location, affordability, and a quiet place to sleep in the middle of Manhattan, this hotel works well. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family who don’t mind modest accommodations in exchange for an unbeatable location.
