"We found two roaches in our room. There were no other rooms available and it was late in the night already to pack up and move hotels. I was told I could receive a refund to talk to the manager in the morning. I asked for a broom and vacuum and cleaned the whole unit at 10:00 at night. We grabbed bug spray from the corner store and sprayed the whole perimeter. We moved all food items and utensils into the fridge. We thought we were good.
The next night, we saw four roaches in the bathroom.
There was also dog feces inside the building by the elevator. The rooms smelled of cigarettes or marijuana. Showers don’t have liners so make sure the curtain itself is in the shower. There were stains on our walls and water stains all along the ceiling. The phone didn’t work and no pots and pans were included even though the description said there would be some.
The GM Jash said because I wasn’t the only complaint they would now have to have a pest control inspection done. He told my friend that their unit was noted to have roaches and shouldn’t have been rented out. But for some reason they rented it out to her. He then told me an hour later that his establishment had not had this roach issue before (though he just told my friend her room had a known problem)
I am awaiting the pest inspection results even though I showed them photographs of the roaches within their unit.
He offered me a discount for my next visit and I told him I would never stay at his establishment again."
"All around good stay besides the room smelling like a porta potty the entire time we were there even after spraying $200 cologne all over the place but still would return"
"Location was great but the room was clearly dated, door opened from the outside, noisy air conditioner. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean so not a bad stay. "
"Excellent bar - great espresso martini. Classy hotel all the way around. Had a great corner room with excellent views. Only problem was very loud noise from some kind of concert across from the Galvez in an open lot. Lasted until 1am then started again around 9am Saturday morning - it was an annoyance."
