Really enjoyed our stay. We were given three rooms to choose from but it was not explained that these were upgrades for which we would be charged. No matter it was a great stay and the food, breakfast and dinner, were very good.

Had to ring for reception every time we had a question or request. After checking in we were asked on 3 different occasions while in the reception area if we wanted to check in. No one could recommend a place to have lunch except a trucker stop???The bath tub backed up and would not drain. The reception appeared unconcerned and we left without bathing. Dinner was mediocre but the server, Mark, was excellent.

Unique historic property that has been very sympathetically restored. Rooms are well appointed and reasonably sized. Staff are very helpful and the location is charming and walkable. Unfortunately, some of the furniture in the room is so outdated it’s hard to relax in the couch/chairs. While the first night was very peaceful, the second night we could hear kids screaming, jumping on furniture (maybe that’s why it’s uncomfortable), running and adults talking loudly well into the night.
