Built in the 10th century on the top of a hill, the temple is reachable by climbing a long flight of steps. Like in many of the temples in Angkor, thereโ€™s a coexistence of Hindu and Buddhist elements and it reminds, in a much smaller scale, the majestic Angkor Wat. The most scenic part, in my opinion, is the stairs. If you continue up the hill from the Killing Caves, you will find the temple that has been built in recent years thanks to donation from Khmer people. Great time at Family Batcave Homestay
We had a great stay at Family Batcave Homestay. It felt like a more authentic experience. Our host was lovely. He gave us a tour with his wife, or he organized for us to visit a variety of sites in and around Battambang. Plus, the food was great. I highly recommend it.
