First time staying in Beijing and was looking for something low cost so decided to go with this IBIS chain hotel which I had already stayed with in another country, turns out to my surprise it wasn't the same service.
It was hard to comunicate with the employees because they didn't speak English, and it wasn't that easy to access the subway the first day with all your bags, it was about a 20min walk so from the nearest station, the taxi from the hotel to the station is about 2usd, so it's not that pricey.
The neighbor where the hotel is located is a local one with local business so no English at all, it was an amazing experience to practice my basic Chinese.
The hotel it's self was not as clean, it's a custom for me to Carry wet towels and always wipe down the surface of the night tables and the door knobs, and it was actually pretty dirty, the shower at night gives out a fowl smell so I recommend shutting the door before you go to sleep.
Outside the hotel you can catch various buses around the city but you must have a card for the system which you can purchase at any subway station.
From the PEK airport to the hotel it's about 1 hour, you can take the airport express to the last stop, then transfer over to line 2, and it's the third stop to transfer over to line 1, then it's about 12 stops to Yuquanlu ghstop. TThe. Take then
