“I love the pool, and aesthetically, the Ranch Motel is perfect. I have a nostalgic attachment. The beds however are not comfortable, there was no food available during my stay, the bartender told me to door dash. No coffee in the am, no TV in room, or refrigerator. I had to keep getting ice for my medication and if the bar was closed no ice was available. ”

“This property is extremely run down and its in need of serious updates. We did not eat the included breakfast as the dinning room/kitchen smelled of sewage.”

“Very nice owners and clean room. No bugs, no roaches. None. The only bad thing is the pet fee. Staying here a week and they charge $30 a day for two cats. That gets expensive! Our room does not at all smell like cats. My wife got a small mop from the store and mops twice a day to keep everything very clean. We believe it is important to leave a room cleaner than when ypu came. A few other things that were undesirable was some homeless guy running back and fourth on the sidewalk next to the motel...

“It was close to a lot of Alamo Heights which has lovely shopping and excellent restaurants. It is affordable and clean and adjacent to my favored parts of the city. Those seeking closeness to the SA most famous attractions might find it remote”

“The breakfast was not fabulous and the tables were sticky in the dining area. I feel like the owners are trying to improve the place. My towels were like brand new towels with a little extra lint and soft. Beds were very clean. I had to clean the counters, a chair with spill marks and bathroom surfaces myself.
