Pleasant hotel

Comfortable rooms and lovely restaurant, with helpful staff. Receptionists varied from friendly, helpful and professional to the complete opposite.

Normandy is in the heart of centro. It's convenience is good. The property is a bit dated but the attention of staff made the stay well deserved. Front Desk was exceptional. Restaurant, housekeeping and room service was excellent. In the night its location can feel a bit deserted but is generally safe. I enjoyed my stay.

Positive: This is a good hotel. The location is excellent. The breakfast is very good with different kind of food. The staff are polite and helpful. The room is spacious and the shower is very good. Negative: It is difficult to watch tv, because the image freezes every minute. We called the front desk and ask them why we were having that problem and they told us they didn't know. We asked them for an extra pillow and they gave it to us the night before we left. The elevator is old and goes down really, really fast. Overall, a good hotel to stay a few nights, but it needs renovations, especially the elevators.

Good value hotel in a central location

Most of the staff were helpful and professional, especially the staff in the restaurant who were friendly. However the first time I checked in the man was very unhelpful and told me there was no booking in my name and tried to sell me a room. I was upset and then he said 'I need your passport'. I told him again I had booked and paid for a room and he seemed to nod and I gave my passport. He had found my booking but didn't tell me or apologise and there was no welcome. The second time I checked in, the woman has welcoming, friendly and professional. She also spoke excellent English.

A estadia foi tranquila. O quarto é bem basico, tem um tamanho satisfatório. Fica bem no centro e é perto de bastante restaurante e até de um shopping. O barulho é o maior problema. Fica em frente a um ponto de onibus que as 5 da manha já começa uma barulheira tremenda de motor, fora os sinos que batem cedo. Meu quarto era de frente então dormir até um pouco mais era impossivel, janelas finas sem bloqueio de barulho. Tudo muito antigo

Os elevadores precisam ser modernizados. Fiquei presa alguns minutos em um dos elevadores e foi muito assustador, minha sorte é que após apertarmos todos os botões do elevador, ele resolveu subir e abrir a porta. Nesse dia eu desci 14 andares de escada.

O café da manhã deixou a desejar. Suco de caixinha, fungo verde dentro da jarra de água, e demais produtos de gluten, como bolo e pães, sao de baixo qualidade. Filas enormes para pegar elevador, um dos elevadores está quebrado há muito tempo e aparentemente eles não conseguem consertar. Tivemos que usar a escada de 15 andares. O elevador não parava no nosso andar. O hotel está muito velho. Fomos maltratados pela atendente que foi cínica diante de nossas reiteradas reclamações sobre o elevador, aparentemente ela fingia que já tinha chamado assistência sabendo que isso não ocorreria.
