This was our first time staying at Cathy's Cottages, and although there were a few minor things we would have liked it was an overall great stay. The room was clean, they offer all the amenities, and the fireplace as well as the tub was the absolute best. We used the tub each night and it made the whole trip worth it while having the foreplace on. It was relaxing and just agreat experience. Check in and out was seamless and all info provided ahead of time. We will definitely be returning.

Difficult reservation system, Communication by text only. The links were troublesome for confirmation. Very clean, spacious, disappointing getaway with heavy traffic on Big Bear Blvd The gas fireplace was not the same as a wood-burning fireplace. Will be sure to get a cabin off Big Bear Blvd. next visit .

Great Place to stay, about 10 min drive to town, live the comfortable settings of Fireplace & Hot Tub. Everything was clean and ready for our stay, have stayed here twice in 3 years and will definitely be back.

Great Romantic Getaway

Very Cozy with a nice, firm bed, fireplace, couch and jacuzzi tub wide enough to sit side by side snd watch TV. Also loved the two shower heads with plenty of room to shower together. Located North of Division Rd so we got a chance to explore reataurants and shops we don't typically see when staying close to the villiage, like a newly discovered favorite, Pickles Pie Shop, where you'll find the best home made pies on the mountain. Order ahead, they run out fast.

The cottages were super cute! The fireplaces were adorable and exactly what we want. After a long day out in the cold. We'll definitely stay here again

The Wi-Fi is not very good and therefore there were some issues with television reception, but the bed was so comfortable the Jacuzzi tub so refreshing. I enjoyed having the microwave and coffee maker in my room as well as a large bathroom area beautiful cozy fireplace that I’ll come back in the winter to enjoy.

Host was very welcoming and responsive. My cabin had all the essentials, great heater and powerful hot shower pressure. Maybe the bed sheets and towels could use a refresh, but again everything was warm and clean. This is definitely a homey, woodsy cabin, not a fancy hotel/airbnb, which was my expectation, so I was very satisfied.

OK, clean but dated

The hot/cold controls on the hot tub are really lose almost falling out of the hole, lighting is really dim, pull chain for the ceiling fan was missing (i fixed it myself) parking is tight for a full size truck or SUV, trees had been partially trimmed over our parking spot but not trimmed enough. The branches put a nice scratch in the roof of my truck. Other than that the place was clean and quite, just old

A quiet, relaxing experience. A short drive to the Village and hustle and bustle of Big Bear Lake. A perfect get-away. Only minor facilities need improvement (creaky bed, wobbly faucet, couch). Someone should have mentioned the dual showers and memory foam bed, what a plus!

This cottage is great for a couples getaway massive bath tub for two and it also has a dual shower heads if baths are not your forte, overall extremely pleasant.
