The Arundel Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were very friendly, breakfast was great. Third time I’ve stayed recently, Arundel itself is a short 7-10 min walk plenty of places to eat & drink & see the castle of course. Hotel is literally next to the train station so very handy, rooms have ceiling fans which are handy in the heat. Next to a busy road but you tune out to it."

"If you are looking for something a bit different for a special stay this place ticks all the boxes. A very peaceful location. The Old Station and carriages are maintained to a very high standard. The staff were very responsive to any requests. We had a lovely breakfast sitting under sun shades on the platform, as the weather was very warm. The carriages were cool despite it being 36° as shutters could be closed over the windows. Very comfortable bed."

"Our whole stay was wonderful. The staff (Nori and Nevin) did everything they could to welcome us and make sure we were made to feel special. Our room (the Castle Room) was beautifully fury, the bed was very comfortable and the walk in shower was large and powerful . My husband had the full English breakfast which he said was delicious with top quality ingredients. I was more than happy with the Continental breakfast of fresh fruit and creamy thick yoghurt . We can't wait to return to experience pre Christmas in Arundel"

"Great stay. The rooms were lovely and the staff were great. Albeit a very hot evening in an old place the fan was just enough. Can’t expect ac in such an old property but would be nice. They didn’t know on our booking we had a child as the third party and the hotel had mis communication but they quickly rectified the issue, just wish it had been sorted before we checked in late. Breakfast was great and staff were amazing"

The Town House Restaurant with Rooms

"We have stayed at this Hotel many times over the years while under different owners. It holds happy memories for us and is a must return hotel visiting Arundel. The very new owners are absolutely charming and made sure our stay was perfect. They run the whole hotel and restaurant all by themselves and so from what we could see we are sure their hard work will return success for them. The Hotel itself is on top of a restaurant run by the new owners which we didn’t dine in as Wed to Sat opening. So maybe next time. Our go to room is No1 which features a balcony directly opposite the Castle Walls and has two French doors either side of the room. This gives the room a very special feel as you can sit or stand on the balcony with a coffee in the mornings to just relax and watch Arundel life come alive. We believe it’s the only accommodation in Arundel Main Street to have such a balcony. The only downside is the entrance now moved to an alleyway at the side with a coded door entrance. First impressions it may look a little in need of updating but we understand the new owners have plans to do this and upgrade all the rooms over time too. So please don’t let that put you off on arrival as it’s an amazing find this hotel and we can’t wait to return. As for parking the whole street is free parking overnight from 5pm-9am (10am inc first hour) but during the day is limited to an hour. So it’s easy enough to unload and load and then to find other free all day spaces around Arundel"

"Excellent stay - friendly staff all members I met including the ladies who do the cleaning are polite and helpful…clean rooms always freshen up when your out for the day, only negative would be breakfast didn’t have fresh fruit option and toast was pretty basic not much choice"
