"We were in what I would call the annex which was lovely as had our own garden area with table and chairs. Room very spacious and loved the decor. Bathroom a wee bit tired and does need TLC but clean. Breakfast lovely and lots of choice and receptionist (young lady with dark hair) was so helpful. Definitely returning."
"We stayed in an apartment with our three children. It was lovely and clean and perfect for us. We had two double beds in the living room and still plenty of space, and a separate bedroom with another double bed and the bathroom.
The apartment was really well stocked with cutlery and plates cups etc.
No issues with anything the apartment was really tidy and clean.
The breakfast was lovely and staff very helpful.
Good selection of cereals, pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt. The hot selection was plentiful and tasty.
Really good location not far from local amenities and a pebble beach, quick drive to portmadog."
"We stayed for 2 nights - 1st and 2nd of August in room 30.......it was a last minute getaway and I did a brief review of the hotel, location facilities etc before paying. What a fantastic place, amazing character ....... it's Wales oldest pub.... 500+ years but it has all of the modern amenities...... the bathroom in room 30 looks like it was installed yesterday...... very modern and in perfect working order. The room itself has real character, lots of space well laid out. The four poster bed is massive and so so comfortable, excellent quality bedding and pillow and for an old four poster bed very sturdy.......
We had breakfast and dinner during our stay both were excellent. The Pub is in the center so easy access to everything. Parking is extra and limited and tight to access especially as you are requested to park facing forward, there are a number of car parks in the area and if arriving via motorbike I think if you ask you can park them in the rear area by the rooms. Overall I highly recommend this place and we will be returning."
"Convenient location, parking can be a challenge for big cars. Room 3, lovely clean bed, functional bathroom, water pressure for the shower's not brilliant but workable. Air con unit outside window (not for the bedroom!) Hotel by busy intersection of roads and crossings. Keep your door key in the lock. Code for entrance door and key drop on leaving. Good vfm for overnight stop."
"Excellent value for money with large rooms at a realistic price. Staff were pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. Evening meals were typical of a pub meal and breakfast were very good. The bar was amenable with the chance to sit out in the evening sunshine. Beer was a reasonable ok rice and good quality. Good parking to rear and although not secure, the area is quiet and feels safe. There were 15 motorbikes in the car park without incidents of any tampering overnight.
The only negative is some plumbing issues relating to showers with it being a very old heritage building but staff are helpful to resolve any concerns.
I would stay there again as it is excellent value for tourists want to lay their head."
