Amazing place, was slightly expensive but worth it. Rooms are lovely little wooden shacks with balcony’s, pool is lovely very peaceful place to stay. The staff are incredible and couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. There’s lots of friendly dogs running around and a little piglet with his best mate the duck. The breakfast is lovely and all cooked to order. The restaurant is also cheap in the evening with everything priced fairly. Only annoying part of the trip was that the motorbike which you need to get around is priced at 200000 dong a day (slightly more expensive than usual) and a shuttle back and forth to town is 20000 dong per person one way. As the hotel is expensive in Vietnamese terms would be nice to waive these fees or subsidise them. But overall great stay enjoyed every minute.

Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel : een speciale vermelding voor Tuy en Zam die ons steeds met een grote glimlach begroetten en onze vragen beantwoordden. Een prachtig eco resort waar je gerust je dag kan doorbrengen ware het niet dat de omgeving zoveel moois te bieden heeft. Excursie met Jungle Boss is een aanrader en te boeken via resort. Ga ook zeker naar the Duck Stop voor een leuke en betaalbare ervaring. Familiebungalow is ruim genoeg voor 5 en voorzien van airco - zeer knap opgezet met zicht op groen en nodige privacy maar minder geschikt met kleine kinderen gezien de onafgewerkte materialen : ruw hout, ruw cement en oneffen vloerplanken. Ontbijt is erg gevarieerd en je kan er ook prima avondeten. Zwembad is erg groot en leuk opgezet met veel ligzetels, hangmatten,handdoeken en douches. We waren graag langer gebleven.

This was a wonderful place to stay, and I wish I could have spent more time here. The property is located some distance from Phong Nha itself and consists of individual shacks spread out along a river and lake. I was initially worried about being out of town, but the resort provides a free transfer service into town and has bicycles and motorcycles for hire. In addition, the on-site restaurant is excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing invaluable advice on what to see in the area and how to see it. The atmosphere is superb and this is a great place to relax. The rooms/shacks are very spacious, but the site is slightly a work in progress, with many more currently being built. There were some teething problems, for example the wooden buildings expanded in the heat which prevented us from closing our door from the inside until the staff (responding immediately), drilled a new hole for the bolt. We also lost the water supply once due to swimming pool maintenance. Another slight issue was the working plantation across the river, where workers with chainsaws were felling trees from sunrise to sunset. This was quite noisy in the wooden shacks, but we were upgraded for free as compensation. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Great resort, a couple of suggestions

Great place, a couple of points/suggestions. First of all, there are lots of chainsaws going at sunrise, making it tough to sleep. Not the fault of the resort and only for a few weeks, but it was an issue. Second, the a.c. wasn't quite sufficient to keep the cabin cool. Hot weather. But a bit of insulation in the cabins would make a big difference. Also help with the noise level. Third, having somewhere in the cabin to hang a few clothes would be wonderful. I know it's a 'rustic' place but these minor fixes would help a lot, and better insulation would lower electricity usage, keeping with the 'environmental awareness' theme and saving the resort money as well

The accommodation is in a remote location within the national overlooking a lake and jungle. The wooden lodges are very well designed with all the amenities that you would expect in a hotel, whilst keeping the cabin feel and closeness to nature. The resort contains a bar and restaurant in a picturesque setting. They cooked local cuisine which was plentiful and tasty. The facilities were also very good - the pool and hammocks were perfect after a long day hiking. However, the best part of our stay were the staff. They were all very friendly and couldn't have done more to meet our needs etc. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend!

Best part of our holiday!

Amazing place to stay with really friendly and helpful staff who are well trained and speak much better English than in most places. Lake view rooms were a dream! Food is great - especially the BBQ at your table. Drinks very good value. The staff will arrange all trips for you with a smile. We would recommend this place completely

hele toffe locatie met een prachtig uitzicht, de shacks zijn meer dan prima met goede bedden!! Je krijgt een mobieltje waarmee je vanuit je bed onbijt kan bestelen en laten brengen naar je shack. Brommers/bustickets/transfer naar het centrum waren allemaal geen probleem en te huren voor een prikkie. Personeel is heel erg vriendelijk en doen prakties alles als zolang je het netjes maar vraagt. Ik reis alleen en had vrienden gemaakt bij mijn vorige locatie. Met de vraag of het goed was als hun even langs konden komen voor een zwembad dagje was het geen probleem,Heel chil ! Een aanrader voor iedereen!

Amazing !

Our stay there was amazing. Everything was near perfect, the staff is adorable the bungalows are amazing, the animals are so cute, the food was good, the property was nice. We were so glad we stayed there, and would recommend it to anyone that likes a bit of peace and quiet surrounded by nature. Thank you to the whole staff
