"My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the J-Max apartment. It is in a good, quiet location away from the main road but still an easily walkable distance to Lake Bled (around 10-15 mins walk), a large Mercator supermarket, and all the general restaurants and shops you could need. This apartment had a small kitchen which we found handy to prep food. It is a basic clean space with no frills and was fine for us. "The value for the property is my main issue. Expect to be up charged for everything. They don’t even provide lotions or anything spa related in the room. They charge extra for the sauna and the hours are very limited (opens at noon! And closes early). Spa is more of an add on than a hotel experience. the breakfast was good and so was the location. Only recommend the lake view rooms otherwise your room overlooks a parking lot. The woman kindly offered an upgrade at check in but for a surcharge....

"Don’t let the term hostel deter you from booking this wonderful hotel. While they do have bunk rooms with shared bathrooms, we booked a beautiful room with ensuite bath. It was quiet and extremely clean. The location of the hotel is walkable from train or bus stations and is in the heart of the historic area of a lovely town.
