My husband and I were doing a 'memory lane' visit to the Boyle area of Ireland after twenty years away and booked Rosdarrig House for our first night's stay having read previous good reports. We were not to be disappointed. Rosdarrig House is a large well run B&B in beautiful gardens just off the 'old' N4 - well worth coming off the 'new' N4 to sample its delights. The owners, Gerry and Brenda, are warm, friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The room we had, three bedroomed at the front of the house, was clean, bright and beautifully furnished with many pretty touches. There were electric blankets on the extremely comfortable beds - very welcome for my cold footed husband! - with quality bedlinen and a well stocked tray of drinks and biscuits to hand. There was a flat screen TV with UK aswell as Irish channels, fridge, hairdrier and a selection of useful, good quality toiletries. I was particularly impressed by the lovely rugs on the polished wooden floor - but I'm sure the other guests were not so impressed with our late arrival as this beautiful floor squeaked loudly! (Our apologies to any of those particular guests, who may happen to be reading this report!). The full Irish Breakfast was exceptional, freshly cooked, tasty, non greasy and it filled us until our evening meal. The warmth, friendliness and joviality of the 'Breakfast Team' was a joy to experience and my husband for one can't wait until our next visit!!
