“Room is imaginatively and elegantly furnished and decorated but in keeping with being a country inn. The rooms are all arranged around their own courtyard with a lovely tree the middle, and so they are quiet and separate from the pub even though right next to it.”
“We couldn't fault the service, nothing was too much trouble. We had supper in the pub and the food was delicious, so much so that we couldn't manage a full breakfast the next day which was a pity. We will certainly be staying at the Montagu Arms again. The location was perfect”
“Booked the room for a family event nearby. Were able to check in at 2pm, which was a bonus. Met by the owner who was very friendly and helpful and shown to our room which was very pleasant and clean. A Dyson fan on the room was much appreciated on a very hot day. Comfortable bed, great shower and nice breakfast. No negatives. Would highly recommend.”
“I treated my mom to a weekend away at New Forest last weekend and we stayed at Cottage Lodge Hotel - the room was amazing, super clean and fantastically maintained. The hosts were super sweet and kind. The breakfast was exceptional!! A lot of information for routes around the forest and information for the village and nearby towns. We both look forward to returning back - I really can’t recommend this place enough. We loved absolutely everything!”

“This was a very old style hotel that had been kept very good order in keepingwith its age our stay was very enjoyable with a lovely swim in the outdoor heated pool, the breakfast in my opinion was faultless lovely good and very well presented with a good choice to choose from we wouldn't hesitate to stay at knoll house again ”
