โA period hotel built during the Civil War (which seems a brave business choice!) and has hosted celebrities including Elvis Presley and Ronald Reagan. The hotel is beautifully set out around a courtyard.
I'm not sure that there is an elevator, so there may be challenges for people with disabilities or difficulties lifting luggage.
When I checked in, reception was being covered by the maintenance man but he was very helpful.โ
โWe needed a quick place to stay overnight to break up a day trip into a 2-day trip. This place was priced very well, quiet and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. For these reasons, would stay here again.โ
โWe just needed a place to stay for a road trip. The building was nice and well-maintained and our room was clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast was great! A lot of good options for picky breakfast eaters. โ
โCheck in was easy and the staff very friendly. Got into my room and the AC was making a noise. The power button wasn't working so went back to the front desk asking for another room. The front desk apologized and immediately moved me to another room without question. The room was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. This facility will be my go to hotel during my next visits.โ
