"We were Not !! Told we were in a chalet cottage, it didn't advertise cottage either it was dark dingy and uncomfortable. The continued breakfast was stale croissants and the orange juice the bottle was black. There were no 24hr staff either "

We stayed in the Home Suite, and it was absolutely gorgeous—beautifully designed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. It felt both elegant and warm, with every detail clearly considered. Each evening we enjoyed dinner at the house, and it was a true five-star culinary experience—beautifully presented multi-course meals paired perfectly with wine and whiskey, all served in an intimate, refined setting that still felt relaxed and welcoming. One of the highlights of the stay was the cocktail hour before dinner, which gave guests the opportunity to meet one another and share stories in such a lovely atmosphere. It added a special touch that made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. We also participated in a Scotch tasting at the distillery, which was outstanding, and even enjoyed archery on the property with an instructor, which was such a unique and fun experience—something you simply don’t get at most luxury stays. Most importantly, the staff went above and beyond at every turn. Their hospitality was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely gracious. Nothing was ever too much to ask, and they ensured we had everything we could possibly need throughout our stay. Go!! "

"Recently had a 3 night stay here. Our room and the hotel itself was beautiful. However the prices of food and drinks were quite high. We were at an event here and there was only one member of staff on the bar, he was often leaving the bar to get glasses, having to go for drinks from other bar etc often leaving customers waiting about 20 minutes at a time! there should have been at least two people serving such and event! Snow and ice were covered all over the grounds making it very dangerous for guests. Some guests of the event actually had to clear a path themselves to try ensure a safer walkway, especially as there were guests with disabilities. Such a shame for these things to let the hotel down. Staff were very pleasant and friendly though, so credit to them for that. "
