"Our stay was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The rooms were very dirty, and the carpet had a strong, unpleasant smell. There was a constant bad odor throughout the room, and the bathroom did not even have an exhaust, making it worse. We had booked for two nights but had to leave on the second night because we couldn’t sleep at all. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt very negative — we felt uneasy, scared, and uncomfortable throughout the night. The building itself is very old (around 90 years) and was originally used as nurses’ quarters within the Mayday Hills compound. The nearby asylum, where ghost tours are conducted, added to the eerie feeling. From the moment we entered the gates, the place felt unsettling. While the location is convenient and close to the town centre, the overall experience was terrible. We would not recommend staying here."
