โThis place is simply fantastic. Kacey is a brilliant hostess. Prior to arrival, she sent lots of information through which was excellent. Then during the stay, she was on hand via WhatsApp and replied any questions in a heartbeat. Her cooking is absolutely second to none so youโre in for a treat if you book here.

โThis was just an overnight after driving up from Dornoch and getting on the ferry to Orkney at Gills Bay the next morning. However Eilean and Graeme greeted us in the parking area and helped us move into our room. Provided us with lots of info on their property and where to eat. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast in the morning had lots of variety and our choices were delicious. โ

โThe condition of the guesthouse was impeccable. The hosts were great, the breakfast was tasty and the location was walkable to town. The parking was on the premises. Would totally stay there again.โ
โWe stayed with them overnight and the accommodation was great, as was the breakfast.
We also had dinner here as it had great reviews for seafood. Sadly we were left quite disappointed as none of the food impressed and the sea bass was particularly bad. Our waitress was great, but there was some commotion behind the bar with the younger staff and you could tell that there was some conflict, just enough to make everyone uncomfortable without anything actually happening. โThe was a very comfortable and cozy hotel. I had a great time here. I found it impeccably clean, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. It's walking distance from the downtown shopping area, but still pretty quiet. There is a lovely lounge and bar area that is very comfortable and welcoming. The shower worked very well too. I would love to stay here again!โ
โPros: Friendly staff. Fantastic English breakfast. Great location, walking distance from the ferry terminal and all stores near the Stronmess waterfront. Even without an elevator, the parking location made it easy to access the room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Showers had nice high water pressure that gave a massage feeling.
Cons: The building is historic, so the floors had older carpet. Newer flooring, e.g. newer carpet or luxury vinyl plank could improve the stay experience.
