"Liked hearing the waves crashing at night. The view was nice. Too many fisherman right in front of our area to enjoy the beach without worry of hooks and fishing line. Never did find a " lounge" Small room , but that was our choice."

"Check in was easy. But when we got to the room, the remote did not work. I reported it right away. No one came to check about it until 2 days later. Even then it was not fixed, with no explanation. Otherwise the stay was great."

Definitely eat dinner at the Inn on Pamlico sound. It is the best dinner in the area. The best place to eat lunch, we heard of by word of mouth, and we agree, is Buxton Munch. We’ve eaten there twice now, and everything was good.

Buxton is where I spent most of my summers growing up. It has changed a lot through the years but my experiences with the people never have changed. They are awesome. Love it here.

Check the roads before you go. Make sure there's not a storm. We drove in terrible conditions. Don't mess with mother nature.

Beautiful outer banks town. Even after a recent hurricane everyone was open and friendly. Great place to go relax and support locally owned businesses. However, if you are looking for Starbucks and McDonalds you won’t find them here
