Very close to the markets in Cairo!

We had not stayed a night in the room but good for money what they are charging. Location in the heart of Cairo. All markets are very close to this property. We can go by walk without any problems. The hotel starts from 6th floor but the rest of the building is like a Zombie building!! No one moves around and it's an old building but good condition. Cleanliness we can give 4 out of 10. Staff was very nice & helpful.

I have been lucky to travel to several wonderful locations around the world on an economy budget, and after staying at New Palace Hotel for the past week I can truly say that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had anywhere! The staff here are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable with good TV, frig, Wifi, etc, the roof top cafe and housekeeping are very good, etc. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Cairo, and the staff are great with helping arrange tours and transportation. The experience at New Palace Hotel truly helped make my visit to Egypt a wonderful journey to this beautiful historic area of the world!

The place was not anything liked the one in the add. Place was super difficult to find, no locals knew about it. Once we arrived the place was dirty, old, unsafe, the shower had to curtain at all. Worst experience ever and Expedia did nothing.

Average, at best

The main positive for this hotel is its proximity to the centre of Cairo. The room itself is ok however the bathroom leaves much to be desired. Much of it needs to be torn down and rebuilt. On the plus side, the maintenance guy was very quick to fix up what seemed to be a bathroom that was older than Tutankhamen himself.

I did not stay there after checking in. It was dark and unclean. The room was moldy and I gave asthma. The bathroom was wet. The pillow cases looked dirty. The breakfast area looked disgusting, not for humans. The room did not have a window or a phone. The towel rolled up and placed on the bed was small and worn. It was a terrible experience. I need a refund for the full three days.

Ok stay on a budget

Our stay was not very pleasant. The first room we had, there was no hot water. They then switched us to another room which had hot water for 2 minutes, then it needs to “recharge” for half an hour for another 2 minutes. The toilet barely flushed and requires couple of flushes for it to actually work. The place was very worn down, things were falling apart. Overall it was an “ok” experience, nothing to praise about.
