โWe loved the close proximity to the beach and areas of interest. We walking distance to dining, kayaking, and boating tours of the island. You are also 25 minutes away from Savannah. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was very good. I would Highly recommended staying here if youโre visiting Tybee Island.โ
โWe checked in at the Desoto hotel and were escorted to the B & B by hotel staff. The B and B is a beautiful condo that has 3 guest rooms and a full kitchen available to guests along with 2 common balcony areas, one with a dining area and the other for sitting. There is a dining area where you are greeted by the Innkeeper Rick MacDuff who is from Scotland and wears his klan kilt. The breakfast he and his wife have prepared are all natural ingredients and mostly Scottish influence. Gluten free...
โLoved the property and the location was great. Loved that they had van transportation. The only complaints are that I wish the property had more activities planned for guests and the suite we were in, in the double queen room, the room never got below 78 degrees but the rest of the suite was freezing. โ
โThe room was comfortable, close to the beach, the pool, nightlife, and restaurants, and close to the office as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful, I appreciated that being from out of town and my first time there with many questions. (Mon-Thurs)
The floor of the room however needed to be swepted and mopped real good. After only 1 day there was a lot of sand and dirt all over the floor. Just from walking from the bed to the bathroom in socks, once, they socks would be black on the bottom....
โBeen there multiple times over recent years and we always enjoy our stay. A couple things we didn't care for this visit 1) Continuous calls from the Concierge desk. Letting us know at check in about specials and discounts is enough, i don't want notes left on our hotel door, calls, etc. 2) More pool chairs need to be set out during peak season. If every single chair is taken each morning by 9am thats annoying for guests. โ
โWe loved staying at the Spark hotel. It was our first experience, and we loved it. The desk clerk, Keshawn, went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!โ
