“Beautiful lobby, friendly staff, great amenities. We have nothing negative to say about Courtyard by Marriott Amelia Island. Totally loved the close proximity to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Everything was excellent with the exception of the breakfast buffet considering the room rate. Sparse and cheap best describe the buffet which consisted of cold scrambled eggs, over cooked sausage patties and clumpy oatmeal. Only fruit offered were a few bananas and the bread selection was also limited. There were two waffle irons available but the crowd of people trying to cook something hot for their children made the wait too long. For a Marriott property I found this buffet substandard. ...

“We know the hotel can't control the weather, but we were surprised by the lack of effort to offer some kid friendly activities with 4 straight days of rain. Other issues we encountered: 1) our shower looked like it was never cleaned. The same 2 pieces of hair were stuck on the tile when we arrived and left. Lots of mold too. 2) my husband took my tween daughters to the gym with him (since we were all going stir crazy from the 3rd straight day of rain!) They were rudely informed at the desk...

“The weather was awful and the lights were out for hours. Then once the lights came back on, my kids wanted to try to enjoy the pool but they had the gates locked. I asked for one night refund to leave and take my kids home because of not having lights but they denied it. There was no beach view. ”

“My wife and I spent one night at The School House. The whole property is beautiful, and from the room to the excellent staff, our stay was wonderful. We definitely plan on going back. ”

“Staff was great and the property itself was very well maintained. Rooms were clean and ready to go. Drove to the hotel for a cruise and it was in a great spot. Close enough to everything we needed and wanted to do(beach,restaurants.) Parking was very reasonable as well for the cruise portion. Will stay here moving forward. ”
