"First room offered was unusable as under renovation full of building materials and rubble. Second room given was without any form of heating on a cold January with bedding consisting of sheet and blanket. Totally unacceptable so had to find alternative accommodation at another hotel. "Clean and comfortable for a quick trip heading to south of Spain from Madrid after a long flight from the states, Lillo is a small town without much of anything to do, some restaurants open after 19:00 but I would drive there instead of walking 10 to 15 mins, it’s very safe. The convent is beautiful, probably the nicest building in town, the only complaint I would give is that you can hear everything from all the rooms, and I mean we heard all of the conversations and I am not sure folks where...

"When Expedia's VRBO cancelled our booking for Oct1 property in Madrid on Sept 30th, we found ourselves scrambling to find a hotel close to the airport in Madrid. Hotels were ridiculously expensive for that evening but also very limited. Found this unique gem about 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport. Reasonable rate, huge room with a very large bathroom. Extremely clean! Friendly helpful staff. Ate in the hotel's restaurant which was also very nice. Would definitely recommend "
