Outdated outside but comfy

Overall the room was spacious and bedding was very comfortable, spacious bathroom, nice bath tub and the hairdryer worked very well. Great breakfast and there are free bicycles for hotel guests to use. The lobby decor might seem outdated but the rooms were refurbished, clean and comfy. We were served a welcome drink when we arrived and they let us check in early. Location is very near to the night market and the quay that is the starting point of the floating market excursion. The road to the hotel is a bit hard to manoeuvre as the local market (sells raw meats & veggies) is just below. Our taxi from the airport didn't know how to get here and dropped us 200m from the hotel because the road in front of the main entrance is closed daily from 6am to 6pm. There is actually a back entrance where cars can pass thru.

Det var et fejlvalg fra min side. Jeg kunne ikke lide hotellet, og placering midt i en Markedsgade som betød en masse støj. Værelset var kedeligt og trist, restaurant decideret dårlig. Ikke er hotel jeg vil anbefale til nogen.

싼 맛에 이용.

개미가 많고 청소도 요청하지않으면 안해줍니다. 수건도 요청이없으면 갈아주지 않습니다. 세탁서비스를 맡겼는데 얼룩이 졌지만 옷값이 너무 비싸다는 이유로 물어주지 않으려 했습니다. 싸긴하지만 한번 더 고민해보세요.

De reparatie aan de fiets van het hotel waar onderweg een trapper afbrak, werd keurig vergoed. Was bijna mijn overhemd en trui vergeten: werd netjes gemeld bij het uitchecken en bij de receptie gebracht.

Ein sehr ordenliches 4* Hotel. es war rundum alles ok. Nur die Gegend ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Bei unserem 4 tägigen Aufenthalt, waren ab ca. 17 Uhr alle Straßen um das Hotel mehr oder weniger vom ansteigenden Mekong überflutet.

Great Hotel!

The staff was really helpful! They book a tour for us and they guve us great tips! You can have bikes for free :) And the pool has and amazing view!! I love this place!

Great value and fun location

A solid 3 star hotel which could regain 4 star with some updates. The rooftop pool overlooking the city is nice and the location right in the local market is fantastic. Five minute walk to get to the center of town. It’s former luxury can be seen but it’s tired. The staff is nice but there is limited English. The breakfast is OK and the Wi-Fi is a little slow. It’s a great value.

J'ai séjourné14 jours dans cet hôtel de Can Tho. Je n'étais pas contente de ma chambre à mon arrivée. On me l'a changée le lendemain. Ma chambre single est de bonne dimension. L'hôtel est récent et tout fonctionne. L'hôtel est situé à proximité des départs pour les marchés flottants. L'entrée principale se trouve en plein marché, très actif de jour. La piscine est très petite. Pas vraiment de salon cosy où prendre un verre

West Hotel is GREAT! ...but call ahead to confirm

West Hotel is an amazing place to stay. It is in a beautiful part of town, where you can walk out and immediately see a culturally rich street full of freshly caught fish, many types of fruits, not many tourists, and friendly people. The service was amazing as well. We wanted to go to the floating markets, but wanted to take a private boat (instead of a touristy boat), just me and my boyfriend (and the boat driver). West Hotel was able to accommodate this request with flying colors. Not only were they able to get us a friendly boat driver who would take us out at 4:30am until 11:30am, but they had a delicious breakfast ready for us at this time as well. We went to the floating markets, a fruit garden, a noodle factory, and more. It was absolutely wonderful. The only concern we had while staying at this hotel was nothing to do with West Hotel, but a problem that has been occurring with Hotels.com throughout our two weeks in Vietnam. For every hotel that we've gone to, there's been some sort of issue where the hotel is unable to see our Hotels.com booking because it is not going through from Hotels.com. Luckily, we just show them our booking confirmation once we get there and after waiting about 10 min or so, we are accommodated by the hotel....but Hotels.com really needs to fix this. If the hotels are all booked, they might not have been able to accomodate us. I recommend calling hotels booked through Hotels.com in advance to make sure they are aware of your reservation.
