Everything was great and would definitely recommend. Only negative is we went to the Chinese restaurant and the steak was very chewy. Other than that would be back.

The staff here was absolutely excellent at service. Every interaction with every single staff member was positive. The food was outstanding. The entire resort was spotless. We will definitely be back.

As a traveler that has visited Cancun over 40 times, and traveled most of the US, Mexico, & Europe, I can honestly say this was the worst vacation experience of my life. We picked this hotel because it was ranked the #1 for adults AI in Cancun. However we quickly learned that this hotel was a timeshare and the reviews are mostly fake or exaggerated by timeshare owners to keep their investment secure. This property is one the dirtiest, mold covered, & class oriented hotels around. If you aren't a Hyatt Class member then you are treated like you snuck in without paying. I've never experienced anything like this. The last words we heard from the hotel manager Aiimee was that she was going to work with Expedia to get us a refund and to please not post a bad review. Had I got any refund I probably would have, because the last two days of our vacation they really tried to make up for ruining the first half of our trip. Daniela at the pool was wonder and did her best to salvage our stay for us. Unfortunately after paying for a deluxe ocean front luxury suite and being put in a room that overlooked a junk yard and industrial air conditioning building, a hammock covered in brown sticky mold, a bathroom covered in mold, a pool that stunk so bad & had so much mold that I had to complain to the manager and to his credit had a industrial cleaner out the next day cleaning the one area, but leaving all the rest of the black mold inside the pool. (There's a lot more, but ran out of space.)

Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and highly recommend it. Some of the plus points: 1. The check in and front desk staff are all SUPER professional and helpful. Terrific folk. 2. The hotel makes a lot of effort to have shows every day in the evening with catering and performances. 3. The Ocean Front view is to die for and is super nice. 4. The staff that maintain the beach in terms of cleaning it, setting up volleyball nets etc. are very hard working and work in the heat and humidity to get everything done professionally. 5. The food options are terrific whether it's from the restaurants or the events. 6. Great tequila bar downstairs with a fantastic bartender. The cons: 1. The Punta Punta restaurant staff is not the best and we had trouble ordering and getting service here a lot. Some of the staff were downright rude. 2. Some of the sales staff who try to sign you up for massages are pretty weird in their interactions with you and can get rude even. Avoid them and just discuss the massage and other hotel amenities with the front desk staff. 3. The beach has 2 issues: Some areas have very sharp rocks under the water that you can easily trip or cut your foot on. I would recommend the hotel mark these areas for tourists (they are across from the volleyball net area). Second issue is the sea weed. The hotel does make an effort to clear them in the morning. It might consider cleaning them once more in the evening to help keep the sea weed in control.
