We booked the royal select option (via Expedia) and somehow ended up with VIP and butler service which has been a surprise and a delight. The food is great, there is an adult-only pool, and there are many quiet spots to catch the sun and enjoy the view. Our butler (what a thing to say!) Alejandro was absolutely wonderful, and our breakfast waitress Alicia was kind and remembered our diary-free order for eggs! The staff are super friendly, our room was gorgeous and the gym was well equipped. The first resort I've been to that I'd actually come back to. You also have to do the chichen itza day trip. Thank you so much!

It’s advertised as “Adults Only” BUT IT IS CERTAINLY NOT ADULTS ONLY !! There is an adult section , and only 1 hot jacuzzi and there was tons of children in there. The food was not good, not nearly as much Mexican food as I’d like to see. The night time buffet was disappointing and ended up you t back for room service . The resort itself was nice and staff was great .

Really nice room. Staff were 50/50 excellent vs not good. Check in was a mess, VIP benefits - I was told one thing but then another. Thought we had reserved seats on the beach / pool and either couldn’t find them or told we were in the wrong area, no one pointed us to the right area. Just a lot of confusion made for a bit of a bummer of our short stay. Wasn’t very relaxing.
