One quick note: If you are coming from the train station, you will need to take the water taxi and go over the Rialto bridge on foot, which does not have a ramp. You must carry your luggage up and over the stairs. The Hotel does not have an elevator, so you must carry your luggage up at least one flight of stairs to get to reception and further up if you have a room upstairs. This was not a big problem for us, but just a warning for anyone that is bringing lots of luggage or can't lift and carry their own suitcases. "

"A real gem in the heart of Venice but in a quiet area away from the noise and hordes of day trippers. Everything is in a fifteen minute walk. If you walk away from the centre, the area is very italian - the streets are full of locals - as are the bars and restaurants. We had a lovely very large room over the canal with a shower room and bathroom. Breakfast was a limited but very appetising buffet. Highly recommend"
