The owner Chris was keen to welcome us along with his lovely 2 lab retrievers. Chris is full of local and world knowledge. The bed and bedding were by far the most comfortable I experienced in Europe so far. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Que dire de cet hébergement qui nous avait paru enchanteur … sinon que nous n’avons pas eu l’occasion d’être reçu car le propriétaire a refusé de nous recevoir après 21h !!! Le lendemain matin, nous sommes allés prendre notre petit déjeuner et profiter de la chambre payée (65€) … Et là, nous avons rencontré une personne inhumaine … Vous n’avez pas respecté le contrat ??? donc, vous n’avez pas droit à la chambre ni au petit déjeuner … Ce monsieur n’a pas eu la délicatesse de nous offrir un café alors qu’il y avait un couple d’espagnol qui petit déjeunait …pas la moindre compassion, le moindre geste humain pour nous laisser prendre ce petit déjeuner que nous avions payé !!! Vraiment, nous sommes de grands voyageurs, louons et réservons dans pleins d’endroits en France ou ailleurs … jamais, nous n’avons rencontré une telle inhumanité !!! Commentaire d’un couple de 68 et 72 ans pour la nuit du 28 au 29 juillet …

Même à 21h, notre hôte était disponible et nous a ouvert le portail, puis nous a installés avant de nous conseiller rapidement pour dîner : hélas, à Quillan, on ne sert plus après 21:30, si ce n’est 21:00, sauf une pizzeria qui ne fait pas ses pizzas. Le cadre est bucolique et très agréable avec le bruit du fleuve qui coule en contrebas du jardin. À ce propos, Les Eaux Tranquilles se sont avérées très bien placées pour ce qui nous a occupé le lendemain matin, dès 9h30 : la descente des gorges de l’Aude en rafting sur 14km. Or, le club Oxygen (que je recommande vivement) avec qui nous avions rdv se trouve à quelques minutes à pied. Le petit-déjeuner- buffet est pris sous une terrasse abritée par un auvent donnant sur le jardin et le fleuve. Il est copieux, mais un seul regret : le propriétaire étant britannique, quel dommage qu’il n’y ait au moins du bacon and eggs !

Très bien accueilli, hôte très gentil, rigolo et agréable, deux chiens super gentil pas bruyant, doux, chambre bien entretenue, café et thé à volonté dans la chambre, très belle vue sur la rivière et la montagne ! Je recommande dans hésité 😊
