Lovely, spacious room, with balcony, which was pleasant. We stayed on the sixth floor and really enjoyed the peace, away from the crowds and kids! The wine and Welsh cakes were a nice touch too. Breakfast was good and staff members were all excellent - professional, helpful and friendly. A very relaxing stay.
Continues to be a deservedly 5* experience albeit the overall style of the property feels pretty dated at this point. Staff are excellent but overwhelmed at busy times.
The signature rooms are very nice - spacious and with a balcony. Love the lounge and the good breakfast at Steak on Six. Sona was good for dinner, with superbly attentive staff, but it was a little overpriced. Our air con didn’t work and the pool changing rooms could do with a freshen up, but otherwise a very pleasant and relaxing stay.
Class hotel, parking is quite expensive at £25 per night. Staff were amazing, facilities top class including the gym and pool/spa area. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Bed was great. Bathroom was a little tired. Breakfast was ok.
The hotel itself is magnificent, sitting on the hillside overlooking the Welsh and English border. From the moment you step in you know you are inside a great hotel and full of history. The team where attentive and ensured we were looked after at check in and throughout.
The upgrade was reasonably priced and well worth it having full access to the Signature areas.
The signature lounge was impressive and with stunning views.
Thank you all for a very enjoyable stay.
Amazing hotel, would definitely go again. The property is very well maintained, great customer service. Getting the signature room was a good decision as that comes with lounge access, with complimentary tea/coffee and the views.
Great resort , lots of things to do, great if you’ve got kids, plenty for them to do,ok if you’re a golfer, car parking seems expensive, especially if you’re staying at the resort for a few days, clean rooms, my wife and I did notice on more than one occasion when we had meals and at breakfast it took a while for them to clear the the tables, but all in all, great place 👍
From check-in to check-out I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Every member of the Celtic Manor team was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was great and the health club was amazing. It was a fantastic experience and we can't wait to book again!
The 2010 golf course is a great design, a real challenge and was in amazing condition following the long hot summer. The room was well appointed with a comfy bed. The staff were all fantastic and oh so friendly and helpful starting with the doorman on arrival. Dinner in The Grill was good although it was disappointing how many restaurants were closed in September. Overall a great experience.
