What a lovely place to stay ❤️ Only a 5 minute walk from the train station very friendly I stayed and took my dog the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly My room was beautiful a massive bed which my dog enjoyed 😂 The breakfast was very nice I can’t wait to go back and stay again Thank you for having us x

We were getting an early train from Carlisle and wanted to stay close to the station the night before. This hotel is literally across the road. We had a double bed with extra single bed room for 3 of us at a total of £42. Overall the hotel is a bit dated, but beds were comfy and it was handy for plenty of restaurants and bars the night before. Breakfast started at 7am after we left, so I can't comment on it. But there was a Costa across the road which opens at 6am. Staff on check in and check out we're lovely and friendly. We had a great night's sleep and were ready for the journey the next day. Would absolutely stay here again Great value for what we paid.

Good location near the train station. Walking distance to many places of interest, restaurants and shops. Lift was fairly dodgy but it seems there are plans afoot to replace it. Room was a little run down but beds were OK and shower was hot.

The room could do wish a refresh, but for the price, it was acceptable. The bed was comfortable, but the bedroom door was very heavy to open, and I couldn't understand why the main bedroom light switch was on the wall behind the door, which when first entering the room you can't see because the door is in the way. Staff were lovely but the lift wasn't working. Good location, close to the train station and town.

The 1st room sucked it was on the 3rd floor im seventy five and the elevator was always stuck on the 2nd floor 🙃. The moved me to a 1st floor and gave me a complimentary breakfast 🙃..There was no safety lock on the door also the toilet took several flushes before it flushed very annoying. The location was good for me.

Lovely hotel

3rd time of staying at the county hotel. It is very clean although a bit tired & rooms could do with an uplift. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly, very central. Will be booking again.
