Highly recommend enjoying the private beaches and beautiful pool, especially during weekdays when you may have the hotel all to yourselves. We stayed there two nights and wish we would've stayed longer.

This place was serene. We felt so at peace during our 2-night stay at Eteka. It would've been nice to have a few more late-night food options but the place is meant for you to go there and relax. Get rest. It gave Tulum-vibes. We had an incredible time here and would absolutely go again.

This hotel is luxurious in appearance. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. The downfalls however outweigh the positives. Our balcony did have a sea view as promised, but most of the view was of the check in building (privacy lacking) The food was hit or miss…we ordered a grilled boneless fish filet to be served a fried whole fish. We were told that was “boneless” and we were wrong. We also sat at dinner for 3.5 hours as you frequently have to flag down staff. It is VERY difficult to communicate if you speak minimal Spanish, so keep that in mind. You are provided with two small bottles of water in the room, but otherwise are charged $12,000 COP per bottle. There were a few stand-out staff members, but others were standoffish and seemed to be ignoring us. In summary: great for insta pics, not for those looking for a true luxury experience for the price.

Perfect place to relax and disconnect

We loved Eteka. The place is beautiful and eco-friendly. It’s a great place to connect with nature. That said, keep in mind there will be mosquitos in the room, so keep the doors closed. The hotel provides you with bug repellent. The decor is gorgeous and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfasts are included and very yummy and plentiful. The food we tried was good. I want to say a special THANKS to Omar, Jesus, and Dayana. They were so sweet and helpful to us during our stay. The only thing is the beach sometimes gets dirty sadly from people throwing their trash there. I wouldn’t say it’s a place you go to for the beach. You mostly go there to relax in their multiple relax areas. The spa was great!

Excellent hotel. Very pleasant and serene. The staff is great and accommodating. The amenities are excellent. Food is delicious and convenient. You can order food, drinks or snacks from anywhere on the hotel grounds at your convenience. Keep in mind, as part of the hotel concept experience, they don’t provide hot showers. It’s more like a room-temperature shower. Some rooms have a shower under the open sky which is great but keep it in mind. Also something to note is that the island is not very walkable, you can go to surrounding hotels or beach clubs but not very far. Anything in between is not meant for tourists. Whereas not unsafe, just not much to do. If the weather is bad, boats don’t travel as frequently between the hotel and mainland. During sever weather, prepare to hunker down because all boat taxi service will be suspended until better weather. Otherwise, it’s an amazing experience. If you want a slow place to disconnect for 2-3 days - this is an amazing spot. PS: on the hotel beach typically there are activities provided by locals, like jet skis, boats, etc.

Is a only Instagram place . A lot of flies is almost impossible to drink or eat . They send you to the room and that is worse . Not recommended for the amount what you pay . If free is expensive bad smell and dirty beach . Not for a really vacation international , maybe local tourists “enjoy” but is not a place for $490 night

We got the island the first day put our bags down and wanted to go for a swim. The pool was closed because it was being “treated”but we chose to walk over and only look at it anyway. I twas very murky and had a bad smell to it which deterred us from wanting to use jt the second day. So we decided to swim at their little beach. Almost immediately I stepped ln a rusty nail that did not penetrate my foot thank good. But we needed up finding multiple rusty nails right at their beach and I gave them to the workers who basically shook it off. There were flies everywhere when you wanted to eat breakfast or dinner. They only supplied you with 2 tiny water bottles a day. If you do not stay within the compound kf the hotel and try to walk the beach you will be bombarded with locals trying tk sell you think or stray dogs that come right up to you and want food and will bark until u give them something.
